Links we like
A very personal choice. The internet and the blogosphere are expanding exponentially on a daily basis, and it's impossible for even search engines to keep up. We will add to this list as and when we find sites worthy of you. In the meantime, we commend the following:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/booksblog+series/rick-gekoski-finger-on-the-page
A Guardian blog by an old friend. He talks books and the book trade better than anyone.
www.shinysean.blogspot.com
A new blog by a newer friend about a writer's life. Sounds like a great life to me.
http://www.kollektivnye.com
"A collaboration, a diasporic flock emanating around the world." Some excellent stuff on a variety of topics. Frequently updated.

www.laravoce.com
A fully illustrated site from a brilliant young illustrator and designer.
Food + Drink
www.wildes.uk.com
By far the best bar in Leamington and - according to The Independent - one of the top 50 in the UK.
www.millenniumhotels.com/millenniumboston/restaurant
North 26 in Boston - principally because it has behind its bar the excellent Rick Hough.
http://petergrogan.com/
Peter Grogan is a food, drink and travel writer who also works with Rick Gekoski in the rare books business. He's the author of Grogan's Companion to Drink and his blogs and tweets are always refreshingly quaffable.
La Vie Française
http://butterworth.canalblog.com/
Mark runs a property management company, based in St Quentin but operating throughout the Uzes region. He looks after our house during the times we're not here, and does it excellently. Great value for money. He also does a great deal more for others who need more. Highly recommended.
http://www.lagramiere.com
Organic, garagiste wines grown in Castillon du Gard but made in St Quentin by Matt and Amy, an American couple who care profoundly about wine and work tirelessly to meet their massively high self-imposed standards. They - and their wines - are recommended unequivocally.
http://stq-provence.com/CE2_LeChardon.html
A simple but elegant and fully equipped en-suite studio apartment overlooking the pool, adjacent to the home of Linda and Archie Robertson, the most genial hosts in the region. Unless of course you don't want them to be, in which case - apart from the superb breakfasts - you won't see them at all. But that would be a mistake!
